Our offer
The Society for Dental Ceramics (AG Keramik) offers dentists in private practice, university professors, scientists, senior staff in dental laboratories and representatives of industry a platform with the aim of objectively investigating the therapeutic and technical possibilities of dental ceramics, promoting their dissemination in dentistry and using them competently for the benefit of the patient.
In the clinical section, we provide dentists and dental technicians with practice-oriented information that ensures durable, esthetic and economical treatment of patients with all-ceramic restorations. The aim is to maintain dental therapy with ceramic materials at a high level of quality. In the journalistic sense, AG Keramik provides qualified information to professionals and the public on the status of all-ceramic restorations in clinics and practices.
Our goal
AG Keramik promotes restorations made of ceramics or hybrid materials as a defect-oriented and substance-preserving therapeutic solution in tooth preservation and prosthetics, both in professional circles and among the general public. In this context, AG Keramik cooperates with scientific dental societies both in Germany and abroad.
Our legal form
The Society for Dental Ceramics (AG Keramik) was founded in 1999 as a legal entity according to § 21 BGB (German Civil Code) and entered in the Register of Associations at the Mannheim District Court. AG Keramik does not pursue its own economic goals and is selfless in its activities.
AG Keramik - For whom?
Checking your own treatment methods and assessing risks in advance - this is what the AG Keramik follow-up project for dentists in private practice (CSA study) offers. Practices can participate in this quality assurance study in collaboration with the Academy for Dental Education (Karlsruhe), the DGCZ and the University of Munich, in which ceramic restorations are periodically checked by the practice.
The dentist receives anonymized mean values of treatment parameters and therapy results retuned from the average of all participating practices. This enables continuous quality assurance in the practice.
We also invite commercial dental laboratories to provide clinical feedback on the durability of their ceramic restorations. As a result, the follow-up project can be a building block for the laboratory in terms of quality assurance and proof of performance in terms of customer loyalty.
Proven, documented, durable restorations with many years of service offer a novel opportunity for the dental technician to share in the "clinical success".

Under the umbrella of AG Keramik, manufacturers of dental ceramics will find a forum for the practical implementation of all-ceramic treatment concepts for substance-preserving, esthetic dental restorations and for processing methods appropriate to the material in the dental practice. The quality assurance program provides manufacturers with direct feedback on the clinical performance of their materials under practice conditions.
Trade media and the general public can find in the AG Keramik a contact for information on the current status of all-ceramic restorations. Experienced experts from teaching and research, from clinics and practices, and from the dental industry are available to answer questions and give interviews on topics related to dental restorations.
Members of the AG Keramik are university professors, researchers, key opinion leaders, dentists, laboratory technicians, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the dental industry.

as well as a reduced participation fee at symposia to which the AG Keramik contributes.
