AG Keramik Video Award

Statutes

The following statute applies to the award:

  1. The video award is awarded for videos/films that present suggestions, work steps as well as tips in restorations made of ceramics or hybrid materials. This may include both dental and dental-technical areas, in which individual work steps are highlighted in detail with tips and tricks from experts. A commented version is desirable.
     
  2. Participation is open to dentists, dental technicians and dental professionals.
     
  3. The length of the video must not exceed three (3) minutes and must be submitted in .mov, .mp4 or .mpeg4 format by June 30th, 2023.
     
  4. The videos shall be submitted preferably via the Internet, or alternatively by mail on an electronic medium. They must in no way reveal the author or the author's team. A letter with the name and address of the author or the working group must be sent by post. Furthermore, a written statement must be enclosed that the applicant accepts the conditions for the award of the video award. Patient cases must be anonymized or a consent of the treated person must be enclosed for the presentation.
     
  5. The work will be evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Board of the AG Keramik and a master dental technician. The division of the prize in the case of equivalent works or non-awarding is also possible.The authors will be informed of the awarding or non-awarding of the video award.
     
  6. The rights of use of the submitted videos must be without rights of third parties. The right of unrestricted physical use must be assigned to AG Keramik. The videos can also be published free of charge on the homepage of AG Keramik as well as in connected knowledge portals.
     
  7. The decision will be made without recourse to legal action.

AG Keramik calls for Applications for the Video Award 2023

The well-established AG Keramik Video Award is an annual prize for particularly practice-relevant and innovative short films on restorations using dental ceramics. The short videos out of dental practices and laboratories have been popular as tips for colleagues for 11 years now and are freely accessible on the YouTube channel of the AG Keramik. Applications for the 2023 call will be accepted until June 30, 2023. The prize is endowed with a total of 5,000 euros.

Practical tips and tricks

The AGK Video Award has been in existence for 11 years. With this prize, the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Keramik in der Zahnheilkunde e.V.” (Association for Ceramics in Dentistry) annually awards short films with new ideas, work steps and expert tips on restorations made of ceramics or hybrid materials. Works from the fields of dentistry and dental technology, preferably also from interdisciplinary teams, will be accepted until the closing date on June 30, 2023. An expert jury consisting of members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the AG Keramik and a master dental technician will decide on the award. The award will be presented at the AG Keramik Annual Conference.

Conditions of Participation

The length of a video must not exceed three minutes and must be submitted in .mov, .mp4 or .mpeg4 format. The author or the team must not be recognizable in the video itself. An annotated version is desired. The short films should preferably be sent to the office via the Internet or by post on an electronic data carrier.
